mbayley77 0 Posted January 27, 2008 Two things I need to find out. 1. How do I replace the gators on a power steering rack as one is split and whilst its off the car I think its going to be lots easier. 2. I am looking on euro car parts and they have two makes of front wheel bearing "SNR" & "ORBIS" - Does anyone know if either is better than the other? Or an alternative place I can get a good one but cheap. Thanks
welshpug 1,657 Posted January 27, 2008 1. remove the track rod end, dont forget to mark the threads to it goes back on in the same place. 2, whichever one costs more is the better one, really! for alternatives use GSF, I was supplied an SKF bearing last time I got one from them. Isnt there a bid post thing which holds the power steering ram in the way of getting the gator off? Forgot about GSF - how stupid am I!
