Diesel Lucas To Bosh

hi i have an 205 diesel and a stdt both cars run lucas pumps and i was wondering if i can change them to the bosh pump off a 405/306?

anyone know???

Yes you can change them to Bosch pumps, you will need the pump, pipes and injectors.

not quite that easy, they will need re-calibrating as they are intended for a larger capacity engine and higher boost pressures (and lower intake temps due to an intercooler)

well ave got an intercooler of my rx7 that i coud use as its quite small and should be easy to find space for. or a itercooler from a 306 td.

i did think ad have to re-calibrate it to but thats ok.

but i might just put the whole engine in ... mmmm decisions decisions

im in the middle of this conversion, mainly so i can run on svo (straight veg oil)

 

the car is going in to be calibrated and have a cam belt change at the same time... ill let u know how it goes...

it is easy to swap whole engine compare to play with new pump, 1.9 td is the same size engine as 1.7. I have done twice and it works.

how do you mean the 1.9td is the samr SIZE as a 1.7 do you mean physicly ie it fits in car?
