Grahamrally 0 Posted January 23, 2008 You'll have two issues that you'll need to overcome with this cam. The first is that if you run it in a standard head with the standard ECU and airflow meter you will get a very poor idle. The pulses through the inlet from the cam being a larger overlap will stop the airflow meter from correctly fuelling the engine so suite the cam. The second immediate problem will be that you'll need uprate valve springs to get to the power band that the cam needs to provide maximum power without causing valve float. Assuming the head as standard will flow that much. You'll almost definately need some head work to get good power from the cam. Anulfo 22 Posted January 23, 2008 Warning!!! If you use this cam with a standard head you will seriously damage the head!!!You will need a fair bit of headwork as the group A cam will probably peak power at 8-9000rpm!!!A standard head will suffer and disintigrate very rapidly. hodgy 0 Posted January 23, 2008 also you will need to get the head re shimmed just so you can put the engine back together as the rocker cover wont go on and the cam dont fit right if you do, plus you need to get an adjustable pully to get the timming changed and then also change the ignition timing, if you dont the car will be slower than it was before you put it in
