zander205 0 Posted January 22, 2008 i am looking to do something with my 309 gti, it was auto, it has in now a 1.6 box, de-cat exhaust with no center box just a back box with 2" exhuast pipe, the engine was a low compression setup perfect for low boost project but that came crashing after a lil accident causing the head gasket to blow, aquire another head that would raise compression car works great but i am looking for more eitehr in n/a mood or boost, write now i want to go through the n/a stages first so i would like the guys advice as what can i do to get my 1.9 8vavle to work better, i have a1.9 box for the longer gearing so some advice would be nice thanks alot Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
zander205 0 Posted January 27, 2008 this is what i have come up with for now, engine is 1.9 cat model, if i use a head shaved to te limit for compression, 1.6 pistons also for compression, my only prob is will it pink and is that to much compression, will the standard head gasket hold up??
