mossy 0 Posted January 19, 2008 Hi Mate, I don't think they are a MOT requirement, but they do serve to stop the brakes getting full of mud etc from the roads. I think they are available from Pug for around 12 quid. They are held on with 3 cap head screws (M4) also available from Pug for 30 isn pence each. RossD 44 Posted January 22, 2008 My theory on them not being fitted to the front is: The rears are more susceptible to debris/rubbish etc being thrown up around the brake area by the front wheels and the complicated aerodynamics under the car. Hence they have them on the rears and not the front. Also the front brakes do a lot more work and a plate such as this could effect the cooling of the hotter front brakes....
