Livelee 0 Posted January 18, 2008 Where can I buy one of these and are they worth it? I've got my headlight removed with the air filter sat behind the hole. Does anybody make a duct that can be mounted in the same place as the headlight with a generic pannel filter? Many Thanks Dan
Baz 421 Posted January 18, 2008 (edited) Make one using an old headlight, remove the glass if not already, and remove/cut away the back to form an open hole. Edited January 18, 2008 by BazGTMi
pacey205 2 Posted January 18, 2008 Yup thats all Ive done. I think someone actually constructed one where they put a square filter (cut to shape) into the actual headlight (smckeon maybe ?). Michael

Livelee 0 Posted January 18, 2008 Ahh I remember him. Just noticed your sig. I'm putting the finnishing touches on an 2.0mi16 with a gti6 inlet and a peterT stage 2 cam, oh with a 1.9mi16 crank. and Miles built the engine. What results did you get? Any links to a thread about your build? Thanks Dan
bobob 0 Posted January 18, 2008 (edited) I didn't build the engine, it was how I bought it, except fort he stage II cam. Miles did all the work before I bought it from him I'm just waiting for the funds to get the cam fitted , but things keep coming up before I get a chance! I was thinking about getting a 1.9 crank aswell. The extra cc's would be nice! When do you think your engine will be ready? edit: Also, are you going to be running a standalone? Or remapping the oe ecu? Edited January 18, 2008 by bobob
Livelee 0 Posted January 18, 2008 (edited) About 6 months ago. It started for the 1st time this week so we need to get a reasonable map in it to run it in and then it can be mapped properly on some rollers. I'm using a VEMS ecu.
