jtek 0 Posted January 15, 2008 Both of my rear quarter window seals are leaking a lot and leaking onto the boot floor/seat well area. I rang the local Pug Dealer who were asking 50 quid per side, which is not an option lol. It is using the normal rear windows, but it does appear the seals have shrunk slightly over time. Do GSF do them or is it time for the attack of Bathroom Sealant? failing that i may put up a Wanted Thread. Cheers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

damien 22 1 Cars Posted January 15, 2008 i have the same problem, mine has shrunk over time and you can see the water running into the car and sitting under the rear seats. im looking into "borrowing" some rear seals from other cars to see if we can get away with a cheaper option. I had this problem a while back. The Non-opening seals are £16 each the opening version are nearly £40 each. I tried the re-sealing method, but as said they shrink and just don't seal properly. richsmells 2 Posted January 18, 2008 Mine leaked, so I removed the windows and seals. I soaked the seals in a bucket of hot water so they became more pliable, then stretched them out. When fitting them back in i used a bead of silicone on the metal lip of the car. No more leaks! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
