Elad 0 Posted January 13, 2008 someone asked in a local forum if it's possible to change the valve seals (TU3JP engine) without removing the cylinder head, I was thinking: if you put each piston in TDC (so that the valves don't fall into the cylinder) if you then compress the valve spring and remove it you then can replace the valve seal return the spring do the other valve go to the next cylinder and put it in the TDC etc'... makes sense? boombang 2 Posted January 13, 2008 some people have said about blowing compressed air through spark plug hole to keep valves up too. I've done it before on an Mi16 with a length of bent copper pipe inside spark plug hole to hold up valve. Had just put a head on an engine and a mate dropped a small screw into the top, where it dropped down beneath the valve spring on the left exhaust side...
