Can You Put Gti Rear Seats In A Cti?

I was wondering can you put GTI rear seats in a CTI?

Yes, have a quick search for 5 mintues its been covered before.

 

but its easy to do with a ibit of trimming.

It's not quite that simple as they are a different shape, but as Al says, it's been done before and a quick search should help answer any questions

You use the hinges from the cti on the lower seats and the metal frame back from the cti inserted into the cover of the gti seat back, cut a hole in the backing once fitted to allow the fastening bar to fit through the cover, (It's about 3" lower on the cti) Remember when choosing your replacements that hot leather burns ya bum when the roof is left down on a hot day!!!!!! I fitted full leather in mine (briefly)

I've done it on mine. Its really easy! The bottom of the seats fit in fine with only swapping the brackets on front of them as they are shorter on the cti. Then for the back rests you take the covers off the gti ones and fit them to the cti frame and foam (as the cti ones are fitted different due to the hood mechanism being in the way) then to fit the covers you have a surplus of cover and this can been taken out and re stitched to fit. Hope that helps.
