My Bonnet On My 205 Gti 1.9 Wont Lock Down

please need some urgent help on this one.

 

 

i have taken the mechanism off the car and gave it a good clean and oil and fitted it back on and still no joy.

 

 

a couple of the bolts on the lam panel have been sheared off in its past and im wondering could this be the cause of the issue???

 

 

any peoples experiences of this situation would be highly appreciated

 

 

Job for next week. sort out all dodgy old rusty bolts and fit with nice new ones.

 

 

 

ps. is slam panel easily removable??

Slam panel is very easy to remove, just 2 bolts at either end of it IIRC

managed to fix the problem in the end.

 

got alot of work to do on the old girl this week though!

 

lots of removing of rusty bolts and fitment of fresh new ones!

Just watch out for the bolts shearing (which they often do)
