Martin W 0 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited) Ok I've removed the door skin on my trackcar, which includes the handle used to open the door (see picture). How have other people connected up the locking mechanism so you can upen the door from the inside? I have seen some with a piece of string/wire going from one side of the door to the other which you pull to un-latch the door, but if I do this how do you connect the string/wire to the other side of the door? Any help appreciated... Edited January 6, 2008 by Martin W
welshpug 1,657 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited) just tie the string to something at the front of the door, possibly through a small hole in the front edge, and tie it to the lever on the lock. this is going to be quite a scary 205!!! Miles 331 1 Cars Posted January 6, 2008 As said just use a bit of string as the Mk1 Mini's did
bluespanner 0 Posted January 6, 2008 seeing as you have removed the frame aswell, string it is. Or you might rig up some sort of ally bracket for the original handle?
