welshpug 1,646 Posted January 4, 2008 be interesting to see the price, there was a group buy on gti6oc.com a while back for Billet steel ones that weighed about the same, they went for £180. now Rich W and Lynx power engineering are doing the same ones for £190. wardy18 33 1 Cars Posted January 5, 2008 Pretty its just like fitting lighter wheels, it reduces the amount of weight that the engine has to turn in order to get the power onto the tarmac and so with teh reduced weight the engine can spin up faster and so better acceleration, ive always found a big difference with previous cars but ive always been told you will loose torque because the flywheel is a major part which helps the engine pull up hills etc transfering the power to the wheels but for a race spec very light car they would be ideal id say as 3.4kg is quite a big weight loss from 6 or 7kg as standard does anyone have a contact number for Rich W or Lynx Power Engineering?!
