almost certainly dead bushes on the front wishbones, or the balljoints on said wishbones.

occasionally the hole where the balljoint locates in the hub carrier wears into an oval shape.

OR, it could simply be a loose bolt somewhere in the aforementioned components.

Mine does this too... but ever so obviously!

Seems to be common from reading this forum, and main cause appears to be wishbone bushes. That's the first place I'll be checking...

Bushes can be replaced on the wishbone but if its the balljoint a new wishbone is required.

Best place for a wishbone bush kit is Peugeot, you need part # 3599 07 which costs about £15 but has enough new bushes & replacement bolts for both wishbones not just one.

The wishbone bolts often don't get tightened correctly, they should be tightened when the car is back on its wheels at the normal ride height not when the front of the car is off the ground. Doing them this way puts stress on the bushes instantly & causes them to wear out quickly.

Graham.

all you need is a butane blow lamp, a punch , possibly chisel, and a big persuader, and some copper grease to put them back in
