Anyone Know If 205 1.9 8v Camshafts Fit The 306 Xsi 2.0 8v ?

As above really, do cams from a 205 1.9 8v fit the 306 2.0 8v ?

yes the 205/309 8v cams will fit in the 306 2lt 8v engines.

Only reason I ask is that I am replacing the engine in my 306 XSI with a donor engine which I have sitting in the garage, but before it goes in I was thinking of sticking in a different cam (ie cat/kent/piper) to replace the current standard one, and it seems to be that the 205 cams come up more often than 306 ones

Fits straight in with no modification at all - I'm running a 2.0 XSi head on my 1.9 bottom end, and that's with a cam designed for a 1.9 engine.

Excellent, thanks for that info Ant, gives me more chances of finding a cam to go in my XSI engine before it gets put back into my 306.

I'd imagine that it should run OK
