v6Max 0 Posted January 1, 2008 Think I may have made a stupid/rash eBay buy... Picked up some refurbished S16/MI16 callipers which the seller was advertising as bolting straight onto the 1.9 GTi hubs. No discs supplied but the seller reckoned MI16 discs were the ones to go for so after 2 months delay with other jobs I'm out fitting the "new" brakes when it becomes clear that the disc offset is way, way out so... Can I still use the callipers if I get the 266mm discs from a 306HDi or do I need to give up now and eBay the various bits? Any help would be greatly appreciated. welshpug 1,657 Posted January 1, 2008 Any 306 266mm disc will do the job as it has the same offset as the 205, 405 disc offset is a lot shallower. to confirm the offset fit your old 1.9 disc with the new caliper, if it bolts up you'll be fine
v6Max 0 Posted January 1, 2008 Excellent news - that's what I was thinking when I looked at it yesterday but wasn't sure if the 306 offsets were the same as the 205. Many thanks...
darojac 0 Posted January 1, 2008 Have a look at the EBC site at http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Assets/2007ukautocat.pdf This gives all the disc offsets
