edthedrummer 0 Posted December 31, 2007 its where the camshaft oil seal goes, on the timing belt end. Will it still work? Can it be repaired or is it scrap.
welshpug 1,666 Posted December 31, 2007 (edited) thats normal, IIRC its just an oil drain for the seal Edited December 31, 2007 by welshpug

edthedrummer 0 Posted December 31, 2007 Well peugeot didn't do a very neat job of it! looks as if i've done it. And isn't the water jacket behind it?
GLPoomobile 958 Posted December 31, 2007 i started a similar topic after finding the very same hole. its deffo suppose to be there Yep, I've been there too. Seen the hole, panicked, got straight on the forum and posted a topic just like this LOL! Isn't it odd that something that was put there in production just looks like a hole resulting from a fractured/sheared part of the casting? I'll never stop finding amusement in the crazy french engineering!
edthedrummer 0 Posted January 1, 2008 yep i wonder how many "almost heart attacks" have been induced by it. Why not actually drill it? instead of punching it in with a punch of some description?
