Pob 1 Posted December 29, 2007 Hi all, I have a pair of wishbones, but the bushes have worn and need replacing. I've been looking on eBay and there is a few options... I could replace them with Genuine Pug bushes, Matt Lewis Racing do polyurethane bushes, there is also a company called Flo-Flex Polyurethane that sell a set. Whats the best option to go for? Thanks, Dan

trialster 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Thanks for all the replies, Is there any benefits with Polyurethane? Dan hmm, i always thought that the polyurethane ones were better because they wouldn't perish when in contact with oil. i presume they wear out quicker because they dont sit in their own metal sleeve like the standards do! Thats what I thought aswell, plus alot easier to fit, sounded perfect. Being push fit I would think they wouldnt fit correctly or have movement, But if they are a load of pap, I'll stick with Genuine Dan
Rippthrough 98 Posted December 29, 2007 (edited) Done properly it will last far longer than rubber, it doesn't oxidise anywhere near as fast, it's resistant to fuel and oil, road salt, etc... It can also offer better damping properties than rubber but that's going bit deep. The problem is that the off-the-shelf kits rotate like a bearing and wear, they get away with it for a while because of the abrasion resistance of polyurethane, but it's still abrading at the end of the day... If you do 'em right though..... Edited December 29, 2007 by Rippthrough
