NeilGTi85 5 Posted December 23, 2007 Hello all, This maybe a stupid Question but why does my oil temp guage flash when i turn the ignition (not turning the car on, but when im using my CD player etc....).....maybe because its cold?? jackherer 543 Posted December 25, 2007 There isn't an oil temp light at all. If the oil temp gauge is flickering then the wire has probably come off of the sensor on the sump, if it touches the gearbox or subframe etc it will read maximum. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
