daza4 24 Posted December 21, 2007 (edited) I am trying to think outside the box here. I am wanting some different wheels on my 205 to try and make it stand in rather than out. Just trying to get something different. What wheels from other car manufacturers will fit ? I dont mind using spacers to help within reason so upto 10mm as a max really. The 205 I have is a 1.9 gti. I know speedlines look great but am trying to do something different. For a change. Sorry would also like to stick to 15" wheels rather than anything else. Help is appreciated. regards Darren Gillam Edited December 21, 2007 by daza4
Anthony 1,003 Posted December 21, 2007 Older Citroen wheels usually bolt straight on, whereas newer ones usually need a 10mm or so spacer. Ford wheels will fit, again with spacers, but the center hole bore is different - can't remember the exact differences AFAIK Renault, Vauxhall and VAG wheels are the wrong PCD and won't fit. sonofsam 5 Posted December 21, 2007 There was a fella on here not so long back talking about buying and fitting some Porsche wheels to his 205, some of them are the correct PCD !
Gentrix 2 1 Cars Posted December 21, 2007 or try to get hold of some Citroen Steellook Alloys - they are 15" 4x108 and 18mm Offset + they only weigh about 4.8 Kilos. Get some nice rubber on them and paint them matching to your Car - maybe white, silver, gunmetal. andi
large 33 Posted December 21, 2007 1.9 wheels in white
jackherer 543 Posted December 22, 2007 There was a fella on here not so long back talking about buying and fitting some Porsche wheels to his 205,some of them are the correct PCD ! I think it was just one version of the 924 that had the same PCD so not a wide choice...
Baz 421 Posted December 22, 2007 (edited) There was a fella on here not so long back talking about buying and fitting some Porsche wheels to his 205,some of them are the correct PCD ! All old Audi's (so 924 and some other older Porsche's too) have a PCD of 108, whether the offset is suitable though i'm not sure. Jrod 7 Posted December 22, 2007 Old saabs aswell. With a 10mm spacer you are very limited as ford wheels are et35 or soemthing so you can't even use them. You can buy adaptors to fit renault wheels but they are 20mm.
johnnyboy666 195 1 Cars Posted December 22, 2007 you can get adapters to change the offset and pcd, just depends how far you are willing to go, ive got some adapters in my shed which change the bore and pcd to fit VW alloys, i did have the intention of getting some ats cups to put on but had a change of plan and stuck to white 1.9 speedlines

daza4 24 Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) I had wanted to try and fit some old BMW type wheels from a E30 as they have a four stud pattern. I think I may have confused some people with my quote about the spacers, I dont mind the use of spacers to fit the right wheels, 10mm was just a figure that I thought might be a good limit but if there are a bigger spacer that then gives me a wider choice then so be it!! But nothing too big it has to be within reason. And those steelys do look very nice like the old weller wheels Edited December 24, 2007 by daza4

Gentrix 2 1 Cars Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) there VW golf MK2 steelies the escort SI,GTI,RS2000 (mk5 i think) wheels look good No, they are Citroen wheels, but I tried the center cover from my Golf just for testfitting. If you fill the Badge, they would make a good cover as they fit perfectly on the wheelbolts and cover the hub. andi Edited December 24, 2007 by Gentrix
