kyepan 291 Posted December 18, 2007 bit of an odd one here, ping, it snapped right at the bulk head inside the cabin, but its only 3-4 months old, and a new part. It doesn't really look frayed, more like its sheered neatly across all the strands of metal. any ideas what i've done wrong? Justin
welshpug 1,666 Posted December 18, 2007 possibly had the cable too tight, there is usually some slack in the cable at rest, and the throttle should be wide open only when the pedal is hitting metal so to speak
M_R_205 5 1 Cars Posted December 18, 2007 Id say dont take the phrase `Stamp on it` quite so literal it might just be a bad cable, i had a clutch cable go after onlya year or so, not coroded or heavily frayed, just snaped
