I bought a car cover for one of my GTIs, that is sitting on the street with no rear beam at the moment...three days later the car cover was gone :)

Lidils do car covers every so ofter just check out the website under 'specials' I bought a full cover and a half cover (just the roof and glass) I'm using both on the same car (205 GTI)as down the side of the house is like a wind tunnel in the winter.

If you really want to protect your car you could pick up a good carcoon from Evilbay for around the price your looking at for a taliored cover.

I have just bought one of these : Car cover Screwfix

I fitted it last night. Trust me to pick THE windiest night to fit a car cover on my own !!

Not bad Had to add some elasticated hoops so I can attach some bunjee cords but overall quite pleased. If a little on the big size but nothing that a little tucking and tweaking later (ie when the weather isn't so blowy!!) wont sort out.

My dad's got a chimaera exactly like that, except with original 500 alloys.

He uses a cover when i've got the 205 in the garage as well! :P
