Problem After Fitting New Rear Discs And Pad

Recommended Posts

Spiky

I bought some new discs and some new pads

i have now fitted them, problem i have is that the disc CANT turn now :?

i first though the disc had the wrong off set, but it's identical to the old one, as i checked

then i thought, maybe the pad is thicker,

we it is but only becuase it's new :?

now if i ground down the outter pad i'm sure it would be ok,

but the pads are brand new ds3000's and dont want to fook them up, espcially if i dont grind them square

any idea's?? :? :?

Did you wind the caliper back?

the inner pads not even touching it, the piston is 100% not the issue

if you take the pad out , is the caliper sliding freely ?

If the piston isn't touching the inner pad then all you need to do is slide the whole caliper body outward so the piston closes up to the pad and you have a bit more clearance for the outer pad. As it hasn't just naturally slid into that position it suggests your sliders are a bit gummed up.
