projectpug 0 Posted December 4, 2007 Car needs a new clutch so which one should i get , why and where from? Cheers
Anthony 1,003 Posted December 4, 2007 Standard one from a motorfactors or whatever is fine unless you're running massively more torque than standard. In the past I've used Valeo, Luk, Sachs and EBC clutches and never had a problem with any of them
DamirGTI 342 Posted December 4, 2007 Just don't buy OE Peugeot clutch - OE clutch is the same Valeo part (just in Peugeot package ..) which you can buy in your local car parts store for less money Cheers ! Damir
philfingers 5 Posted December 5, 2007 Genuine clutch a couple of years back from www.peugeotparts.co.uk was about 45 quid. In a dealer they're like 130! This place is great for genuine parts, delivery overnight too.
projectpug 0 Posted December 7, 2007 Im waiting untill after x mas to start bothering with doing the clutch. Seen a ebc on egay for 99.99 any good?
philfingers 5 Posted December 7, 2007 Wouldn't bother. Std genuine Pug clutch was fine for road rallies, and there's a lot more stopping and starting and uphill starts than for track use.
Mikey S 29 1 Cars Posted December 7, 2007 Im waiting untill after x mas to start bothering with doing the clutch. Seen a ebc on egay for 99.99 any good? iirc ebc are re-manufactured. for 99.99 you could buy almost one and a half valeo clutchs!
