Headling 0 Posted December 4, 2007 Hi Guys, Whizzer 71 is half way through my 2.0 8v turbo conversion ( 2nd turbo engine! dont trust scrap yard engines mine was junk! ) and I need various gaskets etc for it. Is it best to get them from a motor factor like LCP's? Or is there any good on line engine spares places? I need: Cam Cover Gasket cam belt kit inlet manifold gasket cam seal zx xu oil pressure switch water housing gasket between head and housing thermostat and o ring pair of diff seals 1.9. thanks in advance. Headling 0 Posted December 4, 2007 well kind of answered my own question (with a bit of help from whizzer 71), found GSF and LCP very helpfull, just having troubles with the diff seals? I have a std 1.9 diff from a 1990 car, the motor factors have said there are 2 sizes of seal 1 x 58mm OD 1 x 47mm OD And they do them in two different types of materials. Does any one have any ideas as to which is right??
Rob Turbo 3 Posted December 4, 2007 You need one of each size, the small one is for the drivers side and the larger one is for the passenger side I can't help with what material to go for? I'd guess that the more expensive one would be harder wearing?
dale205mills 39 7 Cars Posted December 4, 2007 I have tryed seals from gsf and seals from peugeot, i would allways say buy seals and gasket's from peugeot the prices are not bad and they are a better fit in my book.
