Anthony 1,003 Posted November 30, 2007 They're all the same fit, but the newer ones on 1.8 and 2.0 8v engines are usually a stronger design with addition strengthening/ribbing than the earlier design found on 205 GTi's etc. Even the newer ones still crack unfortunately, but they seem to be more resistant to it in my experience than the older design Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Super Josh 4 Posted November 30, 2007 As Anthony said, the Manifolds have changed over the years. The early ones had no cross bracing, and they cracked. So Pug put two cross braces on them and these still cracked due to the stresses caused by the heat expansion. The last design only had a brace on one side, so these are the ones worth going for IMO, these seem to be the most resistant to cracking, although not completely immune.
