mine has a crack in it. i have got a 1988 1600 with no cat. were can you get the parts from please

Any 1.6, 1.8, 1.9, or 2.0 8v XU engine as found in all manner of Peugeot's and Citroen's and plentiful in breakers.

They're all the same fit, but the newer ones on 1.8 and 2.0 8v engines are usually a stronger design with addition strengthening/ribbing than the earlier design found on 205 GTi's etc. Even the newer ones still crack unfortunately, but they seem to be more resistant to it in my experience than the older design :excl:

As Anthony said, the Manifolds have changed over the years. The early ones had no cross bracing, and they cracked. So Pug put two cross braces on them and these still cracked due to the stresses caused by the heat expansion.

The last design only had a brace on one side, so these are the ones worth going for IMO, these seem to be the most resistant to cracking, although not completely immune. :excl:
