kyepan 291 Posted November 25, 2007 in garret terms most 2.0l cars use gt25 and upgrade to around gt28rs or 3037, any bigger and they do not have enough air flow to spin up and produce positive boost until further up the rev range too Smaller turbo will spool up quicker but be more restrictive at high rpm. smaller engines seem to use gt20's or other stuff. was reading this click, about the changes that engine manufacturers make to their cars before turbo charging, worth bearing in mind if you want your car to be able to run higher boost. danpug 1 Posted November 26, 2007 You could just fit the exhaust manifold and t25 from a 2.0 8v turbo, henry yorke saw nice results from this and it works out quite cheap compared to other turbo conversions. He used the 2.0 management as well.
