Ethos 0 Posted November 24, 2007 Hi guys, Is there a list anywhere, or could anyone explain how many earthing points there are on the 205 gti? Thinking I should check them all to make sure that isn't the cause of my stalling issue under hi electronical load!
jim205GTI 3 Posted November 24, 2007 Gearbox..... inner wing..... under the headlamps is one iirc........there's more i'm sure, can't remember, a search i should imagine would bring up a few
lee-bg 0 Posted November 26, 2007 The only ones you need to check are the one on GearBox and on Inner Wing. These are important, as the rest are for various electrics on the car not connected with the engine, ecu and sensors of engine.
paulh 0 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) (Another earth point that is not probably anything to do with your fault!!) Isn't there an earth point near one of the backlights for the fuel pump. Seem to remember something about this a while ago, think someone recommended using eyed crimp fittings on the cleaned up stud that the original earth block fitted onto. A search should fetch this up.
