i would say deffo to try the coil, as they normally start to breakdown when they get hot, my old one used to then one day it just died on me

Hi !

Yes coil maybe , but id check/replace the ignition amplifier first (and don't forget to re-apply the thermal transfer paste at the back of the amp. surface !) for these two the situation is that they start to make troubles when the engine warms up fully to the working temp - the coil/ignition amp. starts to overheat and cause all sorts of electrical gremlins - hesitating , misfiring , cutting out etc. and eventually complete ignition system break down with no or very weak spark ...

Cheers !
