Pob 1 Posted November 9, 2007 Hi, At what point should the fan kick in? Mine comes in just over 4 on the gauge and won't turn off for ages, I have a twin fan so its loud and very annoying, even with the engine off it runs for a long time (5-10mins) As the running temperature takes it upto 4 on the gauge it doesn't take much before the fan kick in, so they are coming on quite often. Also is the fan suppose to have different speeds? Mine comes on at full speed. Many Thanks, Dan
paul205mi16 4 Posted November 9, 2007 fan should kick in in slow speed, then when the engine is really hot-High speed should kick in m8, I'd say the resistor is gone!

I think the wiring has been played around with by the previous owner, mine always comes in at full speed on a twin fan, so its really loud. Which resistor is this? The cylinder type thing?
