ChrisB 0 Posted November 7, 2007 This may sound stupid but i wanted to check. I want to put a standard exhaust back on. The car has had a mi16 engine from a 405 4x4 put in it, so will a standard 1.9 centre and back box fit the mi manifold? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted November 8, 2007 Not without rehaping the downpipe to fit or buying an aftermarket manifold. The best standard exhaust to use (imo) is one from a later car that has a two piece system as they are a very slightly larger bore than the early ones & can be cut to fit an aftermarlet Mi16 manifold.
