how do you mean moisture mate?.its not head gasket i dont think because the temp is fine and im not losing water and the colour of the water is normal.i think ill be getting some silicone ones soon!.

i think its just bad design or something, moisture in the air gets to the filler through the afm, tb, ect..

 

i wouldnt worry too much

It is normal if you are doing short journeys, especially in winter.

 

But I can't help but wonder if this related to your other thread about oil spraying out near the dizzy. Sounds like you could be getting pressure buiding up and it's chucking oil out of the dipstick tube!

or you could beleave the old wifes tail that your head gasket is on its way out.

Dont worry, i made a phone call to a friday on Sunday as i believe my head gasket had gone for the same reason but he said they are known for it lol

I'm sure someone may correct me but from my experiance its a french design problem. I've owned various makes and ages of cars and the only ones that mayo up the oil filler are french in origin.

what about fitting silicone breather hoses etc??..they wont fold/bend up etc then.

hi mate, if you didnt run the car for a while and have just started using it again its probably just moisture in there. will soon clear up. as others have said short journeys do it aswell

Haha. Yeah they all get it. I removed the gauze in the filler cap so that doesn't clog up. You can remove the breather hoses and give them a good clean or just take it for a damn good thrash and that often helps clear some of the mayo up.
