mickie 3 Posted November 6, 2007 theres a o ring washer around the end of the dizzy when you take the dizzy out, check that.. check the rocker cover seal.. if it still leaks around there take the rocker cover off and take the camshaft end cap off and smear some loctite sealant around where it clamps down Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
DamirGTI 344 Posted November 6, 2007 Hi ! Well it could be - rocker cover gasket , thermostat housing gasket , dizzy "O" ring seal , oil dipstick ... It's best first to clean the engine with some solvent , and then after cleaning start the engine and look around for oil leaks - it's a lot easier to find oil leak on clean engine Cheers ! mickie 3 Posted November 6, 2007 yeah it is, take off the dizzy and cam cover, then unbolt the camshaft cap nearest the dizzy, two bolts on top and a allen key bolt behind the dizzy which goes through the water housing and into the cam cap, make sure its all sealed up on the bottom and the side of the cap against the water housing.. when it leaks through there it trickels under the dizzy and all over the gearbox.. water housing and dizzy o ring could do the same tho so check. i just think it'll be the end cap because not everyone knows about that one 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
