v6Max 0 Posted October 29, 2007 Hi, I've finally gotten round to doing the hg on my G plate 1.9 and having got the head off yesterday and starting to remove the cam shaft I was expecting to have to remove something Haynes call a cam shaft thrust plate only it wasn't there. I can see where it should be and the tapped thread in number 1 cam shaft cap but no plate. So the obvious questions are... 1) Where can I find another one? 2) I don't believe Pegeout fitted them for a laugh so will any damage have been done with it not being there? Cheers... Miles 331 1 Cars Posted October 29, 2007 Only the early car's used them, The later ones and all the 16v use one of the cam caps for this so your's being a G plate won;t need it

ALEX 98 1 Cars Posted October 30, 2007 The later cams have an extra lip I think insted of a groove for the thrust washer.
