whizzer71 0 Posted October 26, 2007 How can I be 100 % certain that a cam I have is from a DKZ engined car ?,are there any markings or symbols on the cam that will identify it,The long and short of it is I got a whole head of Fleebay that was reported to be from a K plate 1.9 Gti,Just want to be sure before I waste all my time shimming it all up for my turbo head. Rob Turbo 3 Posted October 27, 2007 I could do with knowing this also, not just for the DKZ cam, but for a few pug/citroen cams, I've read somewhere that the cam will be marked with a coloured band/line but can't find any info on what colour is on which cam! On the cam in my turbo engine there's a red line going between 2 of the lobes, I don't think it's a standard turbo cam because it has a dizzy drive at the end and my last turbo engine didn't have one, it was just blank at the end!
