Bally 4 Posted October 24, 2007 I dare you all to check your voltage at your fuel pump and report back your findings. I am sure alot of you will be surprised. With my management I have a relay that controls the fuel pump, so I just connected from the relay back to the original wiring. Changed my fuel pump the other day because I was having fuel delivery problems (I have in a fuel pressure gauge) After changing the pump, I decided to check the voltage. Voltmeter at battery, car off - 11.9V Voltage at pump car off - 9.7 V Voltage at battery car on - 14.2 V Voltage at relay for fuel pump going to pump 14.1V Voltage at pump between both wires car running - 11.85V Voltage between +ve wire to pump and chassis right by pump 12.2V Changed +ve wiring down to pump and ground pump on chassis 14.1 V So conclusion, its not just the +ve wire, the grd also leaves alot to be desired. Do your checks and report back please. Dont need to do all those checks, just check at the battery running and at the pump running.
