Trick 1 Posted October 24, 2007 Anyone know if i can just buy the relevant parts i would need (from GSF) to change the release bearing on my clutch? I can only see how clutch kits listed on their website. I wanted to swap the gearbox over this weekend (weather permitting) and gives me the opportunity to sort out this bearing (something i expected to have been done when i paid for the new clutch). Anthony 1,003 Posted October 24, 2007 You need a BE3 release bearing which GSF did used to sell seperately - not sure if they still do, but if not I'm sure Peugeot or a large motorfactor should be able to assist. You normally get a new release bearing as part of a clutch kit, so I'm suprised if one wasn't fitted when you had a new clutch fitted.

Pug wanted about 30 quid for a release bearing for my BE3!!!! - Luckily a forum member (thanks Dan) gave me a good s/h one.

If a garage were to get the wrong clutch delivered (be1 instead of be3 or vice versa) they might be tempted to do the job anyway without changing the bearing in order to get it out of the door instead of hanging around for another day or more.
