Bally 4 Posted October 20, 2007 (edited) Will post the graphs soon 9psi, 1.7 afr, 21 degrees timing, pump gas less than 92 octane, duty cycle 90% 7250rpm Edited October 20, 2007 by Bally
Sam 4 Posted October 21, 2007 The video leaves a lot to the imagination. What did it make?
Bally 4 Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) In a very conservative mode of tune the last results were 170KW and 240NM. Dont know if that is impressive or not The white line is the HP and the red is the Torque Edited October 21, 2007 by Bally
maxi 36 1 Cars Posted October 22, 2007 Anyone have any clue what that is in BHP???? Maxi
returnofjim 0 Posted October 22, 2007 Anyone have any clue what that is in BHP???? Maxi Try this Unit Converter think it works out at about 230 bhp
Doof 11 Posted October 22, 2007 Anyone have any clue what that is in BHP???? Maxi Google is your friend 227 bhp
welshpug 1,661 Posted October 22, 2007 wheel power looks to be circa 170 KW @ 7800 ish. which is 228 BHP. and a peak torque of 240 ish Nm, which is 177 Lbft. quite an impressively linear output there
Bally 4 Posted October 23, 2007 So the graph looks impressive? I can tell you it feels really good, cause it had a big dip in power and torque due to being too rich, It is still a bit rich for safety till I install the water injection, then really turn it up. Bally 4 Posted January 21, 2008 Water Injection installed now, and running some more timing, haven't been back on the dyno as yet , but the car really feels good. Will get to the dyno and post new results soon, will also turn up to 14 psi. Trying for over 300 WHP. Also, havent activated the nos as yet either. The nos doesnt work with the turbo tho, it comes on at fullthrottle and 2500rpm, but cuts out once the turbo hits 8psi, so its just like a helper to get the turbo spooling, .Have never used it yet tho, The car does not feel like it needs it. DrSarty 90 1 Cars Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) The car does not feel like it needs it. Too right Nice one you crazy dude. I'm normally an N/A man; but this I like. Rich Edited January 21, 2008 by DrSarty
pee vee 1 Posted January 21, 2008 Hi Mate. what size turbo is that?? the torque spike seems to be at 4500, so looks like thats where it makes the boost? Is it quite a big-ish turbo ?
saveloy 8 Posted January 21, 2008 Firstly, the graph is not acurate. The lines don't cross at 5252 rpm. Secondly, the boost control needs looking at. The waves in both the curves indicate that the wastegate is opening and closing, and so not giving a smooth upward curve. You should be able to increase the whole hollowed out area, given better boost control.
Normski 1 Posted January 22, 2008 Firstly, the graph is not acurate. The lines don't cross at 5252 rpm. The lines will only cross if the power and torque are plotted on the same scale, and have units of Bhp and Ftlb. The above isn't.
C_W 3 1 Cars Posted January 24, 2008 Torque seems quite low (but still high for most of us!!) for a turbo engine compared with peak power?
