Peetypug 5 Posted October 20, 2007 whats the power of a standard 406 2.0i 16v XU10J4R engine? thanks
welshpug 1,657 Posted October 20, 2007 135 Bhp, healthy engines have been known to turn out a little more (up to 140) they dont tend to perform like the 1.9 205 engines where a good one only just makes factory power
Peetypug 5 Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) thanks mate dont supose you know if the gti6 head would fit this engine do you?? Edited October 21, 2007 by sorrentopete
welshpug 1,657 Posted October 21, 2007 certainly will, its not a lot different as it happens, and if you were to get it ported/flowed it seems that it'd be the better option due to more material to be worked with. the main difference between the engines is in the manifolds and camshafts, get hold of the 6 exhaust manifold if you can, what induction are you going for?
