Just noticed this morning that when i switch ignition on the stop light and all the other lights that turn red were not on,where do i check for this please. :angry:

Edit: it's ok got it working now but should the oil temperature light up aswell?

Sounds like a dodgy connection to the oil pressure switch - that's what turns the STOP, oil pressure, and water temp light on with the ignition.

 

Battery/alternator light and the handbrake still should have come on though.

 

There is no oil temperature warning light, even though it looks like there should be,

Thats ok then all working now will clean up the oil pressure switch connection over the weekend :angry: thanks.

Forgot to say that the handbrake and battery/alternator light were ok.

I bought a multimeter today to test the wire going to the oil pressure switch,what do i set it to on the multimeter?

 

Sorry i am rubbish with electrics :D

It looks like i am getting 12v through the oil pressure switch wire and 6v through the sender wire,does that sound right?
