mr2haz 0 Posted October 16, 2007 Please could someone confirm the best way and how difficult the task of changing the head gasket is? Is it a job that requires removing the engine? I there any parts I should change while doing this job apart from the cam belt.
boldy205 75 Posted October 16, 2007 It can be done with the enging in place, get a Haynes book of lies, it will help a lot. Things to change are belt, tensioner, and waterpump if you want to do a propper job!!

AdamVester 0 Posted October 18, 2007 yeah its a very easy job... shouldnt take more than 4hs if your confident.... we spend about 1h doing one (the worst bits the manifold) getting the bolts undone is a job on its own lol... we ended up smashing them off as we were only fixing the head gasket on the engine to see if the engine was a goodun or not to put into another car.. but yeah easy job worst parts the manifold...
