Anton green 12 1 Cars Posted October 11, 2007 (edited) The metal component inside the ports, what is it for, do I need it, what are the other take-offs for on the blank end of the R5Gtt intercooler (dont tell me they are mounting lugs )? Thanks, T http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u129/An...-09-06_1728.jpg http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u129/An...-09-06_1726.jpg Edited October 11, 2007 by cybernck
davev 1 Posted October 11, 2007 the two takeoffs on the bottom are indeed mounting lugs but i dont know what the thing inside the intercooler is for. think its a phase one intercooler though. why not get a doudle capasity(sp) alloy one? cost about 100 on the rtoc dave. Anton green 12 1 Cars Posted October 11, 2007 rtoc want £25 just to use their shop, which makes their shop unuseable in my book.. cheers on the heads up though

davev 1 Posted October 12, 2007 just got this info of the rtoc. "its not a sensor but a thermostatic valve thing that opens and closes the thermo flap depending on temerature." this flap is in the intercooler. thats meant to open if the airs to warm. (guessing it makes the route longer so the air cools for longer)
