Miles 331 1 Cars Posted October 10, 2007 You need to place it in it's own air flow, In the cowling or in front of the Rad is no good at all,, Yes it will work but not as efficently as it could. But for this you really need to ditch the std Rad Cowling
dean 0 Posted October 10, 2007 does any one have a pics. Are you saying then ditch the standard fans and cowling and get some fans from say demontweeks and then just put it in front of them
brumster 135 1 Cars Posted October 10, 2007 I've got mine mounted on two brackets that extend forward from the lower valance (the inner metal panel in front of the rad), it then sits behind the lower bumper in front of the main rad, but not behind the bumper (ie. in the airflow). Since the car is a competition car, I've cut a little of the material away to ensure maximum airflow, but I've seen others drill 20-30mm holes in the main bumper and site it behind there. I've ditched the cowling, though, so that makes things easier.
engine killer 6 Posted October 11, 2007 I have put it in front of the rad cowling. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1540826631084130750YdqEFe http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2577222950084130750CKrFSo http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1540879784084130750hQxBTP it works fine for me even for a hot summer trackday in far east asia.
