probably where it should be... in the fan cowling!

unless you want to cut holes in your bumper etc

You need to place it in it's own air flow, In the cowling or in front of the Rad is no good at all,, Yes it will work but not as efficently as it could. But for this you really need to ditch the std Rad Cowling

Are you saying then ditch the standard fans and cowling and get some fans from say demontweeks and then just put it in front of them

I've got mine mounted on two brackets that extend forward from the lower valance (the inner metal panel in front of the rad), it then sits behind the lower bumper in front of the main rad, but not behind the bumper (ie. in the airflow). Since the car is a competition car, I've cut a little of the material away to ensure maximum airflow, but I've seen others drill 20-30mm holes in the main bumper and site it behind there. I've ditched the cowling, though, so that makes things easier.
