dean 0 Posted October 8, 2007 does any one have any good pics of the pipe work on gti6 engine in a 205. also a bit of advice for you lot when putting a gti6 in a 205 and taking power steering and air con off there is no need to make any funky brackets to tesion the alternator belt all you need to do is leave the standard alternator on and buy a hb700e belt and a 1.4 106 cambelt tensior and bolt that on to the engine bracket which there is a hole for is and the works very well

dean 0 Posted October 8, 2007 no i dont but if you go to some where like gsf and buy a 106 1.4 cambelt tensioner and a hb700e belt from halfords you are sorted there is a little 13mm hole on the gti6 standard engine bracket bolt the tensioner to that and it work like its a factory fit
funkymofo 0 Posted October 9, 2007 Cheers for the tip mate! I've been stuck for weeks trying to find a suitable bracket to sort the alternator out. Here's some pics I had saved on my hard drive, unfortunately I can't answer any questions on them as I haven't done this part of the conversion yet. I do know you need to insert a T piece into one of them though,as shown in the one pic. Hope that helps.
