kevp's 205gti 0 Posted October 6, 2007 I came to put my gti-6 on a engine stand today using hi tensile bolts and they kept bending due to only being able to use a small diameter bolt any one else had this and if so how did you get round this? I mounted my GTI-6 lump directly onto a Machine Mart engine stand, utilising studding and bolts, but as this was over a year ago and I didn't encounter any problems I can't remember the full details. I vaguely remember only being able to pick up 3 of the 4 points available. Will take a look and grab a pick next time I am over my lockup. PM me your phone number and I will give you a ring from the garage and explain how my engine is mounted to the stand. Damn - Lewis is now sat in the gravel.
