Spiky 37 Posted October 5, 2007 ok, done a few track days on them but feel i not quite got the right tyres pressures i run between 22-24 on the front and 24-26 on the rear any helpful advice on pressures would be great
smighall 1 Posted October 5, 2007 I generally run about 24 all round cold. I just try and keep them at ~30 when hot so adjust after coming in from a session.
Spiky 37 Posted October 5, 2007 can i assume you check them when hot after coming, then adjust them when cold???? or do you adjust them hot too?
blackscooby 0 Posted October 5, 2007 I run something like NSF at 22PSI OSF 24PSI NSR and OSR at 26. Check immediately after coming in after first session and adjust ALL to 30PSI (HOT). Seem to be OK at that.... Feels very strange initially when going on when on cold tyres. Feels to have lots of roll into bends, but a bit of overly hard braking (where safe to do so.. officer) and harsh acceleration out of bends soon gets them up to temp. Spiky 37 Posted October 5, 2007 ok will try that next time what about wet track days??? same pressures??????
smighall 1 Posted October 5, 2007 I just always try and keep them at 30. So when you come in, check the pressures and adjust. You start to get a gut feeling about what will be right when cold.

B1ack_Mi16 67 Posted October 5, 2007 I can just add one thing, Peugeot Sport 206 Cup cars that was a league running in Norway some years back, told me to run 15PSI in the Bridgestone RE540 semi slick tyres, almost same as R888 I would guess, at least if you were aiming for the best lap times. The sidewalls are usually pretty hard on the semi slick tires so they can handle less pressure which probably give better grip.
petert 586 Posted October 6, 2007 I use 26-27 front and 30-31 rear cold, so when hot they max at 34 all round. Variations side to side depend on whether clockwise or counter-clockwise circuits.
projectpug 0 Posted November 5, 2007 I have been using 24 PSI all round seems to be good
Spiky 37 Posted November 5, 2007 well at donnington yesterday, i put 24 in the front and 26 in the rear when i came in they were all 30 i had a touch of roll, but i think it's down the the std suspension, when i fit my bilsteins, and attend bedford in feb, i'm hoping this will go but still managed 105 down the craner curves, which i thought was ok.
