gazzer 1 Posted October 1, 2007 does antone know how to take rear brake caliper off a 406 2lt 16v to change pads- no books working blind, found one bolt at the bottom of the caliper ,but dont know how to release the top?
ablister 31 Posted October 1, 2007 pretty sure these just have pins holding the pads into the caliper so no need to remove the caliper. Remove the safety pin on the end of the main pin and punch the pins out. Hope that makes sense. Also, does it have inboard brake shoes for the handbrake mechanism? Miles 331 1 Cars Posted October 2, 2007 As said the pads are held in by 2 pin's so you dont need to touch the Cal, But to remove it just take the cap off the top slide and you'll find a allen bolt in there, Mind the brake pipe thou as there's no Flexi's to move it far
