ORB 227 1 Cars Posted September 29, 2007 Hey guys, Is the dipstick on the Citroen BX GTI 16v (MI16) any different to the ones on a standard GTi engine? I am missing mine, I have found three dipsticks and they dont seem to fit properly? Cheers ORB
ablister 31 Posted September 30, 2007 wouldn't think they are different but not confirming that. But for the sake of £5 for a new one, the consequences of having incorrect oil level will cost more than fiver, especially for a mi16 engine with a twisty road! ORB 227 1 Cars Posted September 30, 2007 where would one get one from?
Ryan 99 Posted September 30, 2007 The mi16/bx16v distick is a different length, so the marks would be in the wrong place if you used an 8v one. A new one is ~£5 from a dealer. Go to a citroen dealer though and ask for one for a BX 16V. If you go to Peugeot then they have a habit of giving you either an 8v or one from the 2.0 Mi16 - both wrong.
