DirtyFlare 0 Posted September 28, 2007 Well i purchased a full magnex exhaust system, have fitted it and didn't think it was quite right. Well i had an MOT and passed but got an advisory on the exhaust. the reason was the knuckle joint on the manifold is blowing when you open the throttle. On closer inspection i can see why. The previous owner has for some reason changed one of the springs, the replacement spring doesnt do anything. Therefore the exhaust is blowing out the knuckle joint so does anyone know where i can get a new spring that is the same as the original??

DirtyFlare 0 Posted September 29, 2007 thanx for the reply, but i must have not made it very clear. the springs that i require are for the Magnex manifold. the springs in question can be seen where the manifold goes from 4 pipes to 1 (top left of this picture)
hengti 2 Posted September 29, 2007 have you tried Magnex themselves? probably the best bet, although you could try removing the other spring and taking it for comparison to fixings and fittings suppliers to see if they can offer anything similar it's a common problem and is likely to recur; some people cut the knuckle joint off and replace it with a stainless flexi (i used Bosal part number 265707)
