205gti With Mi16 Thbodie Msii Extra

Recommended Posts

Guest projectje

hi to all

im new here so here is my setup

205 gti with an mi16 engine on wich im fabricating an cbr 1000 throttle bodies for ignition i use ford edis coilpack and the original ver sensor 60-2 with 2 vb921 and wasted spark msII extracode.

but now i have to wire the rest of the sensors, im gonna use the tps sensor instead of the map sensor but i also wanna use somekind of inlettempratuur sensor but my question is were do i you guys put this sensor and wich one?

and what other sensor do you hook up i was gonna use the clt sensor and am thinking about the idle sensor but also dont know how to make this in the thorttle bodies so any help or explenation would be very welcome

regards

rob

get a Bosch one (found in various Pugs/Cits) or a GM one (from many cars).

if you're going to have an airbox - put it in there, otherwise put it somewhere upstream the TB's.

you'll just have to find out it's characteristics and use EasyTherm to reconfigure your firmware.

CLT temp sensor is a must! you can simply use the existing (blue) one.

again, you need to reconfigure the firmware by the info available here on the forum (do a search).

and finally, idle valves are difficult to incorporate with throttle bodies.

just make them stop before throttle fully closes and further regulate by mapping.

p.s. i'd use a MAP sensor rather than TPS (personal preferrence).

hope this helps B).

ok thanks for the fast reply

gonna have a look at the scrapyard for a decent airtempsensor and try to fit it in one of the air filters

i also thought about the map sensor but i read here and there that the tps is better on throttle bodies hope some more people can tell me about their setup what works best because its a bit confusing

the clt sensor i have found and will hoke it up hope i can find the values for megatune on the forum somewhere.

the idle sensor i think i know how to wire it but do i have to split it to all 4 inlet tubes or is there an other way?

thanks for the help sofar

i'm afraid you'll have to split it... can't think of it being done in a different way.

as for the MAP sensor, if you join 4 vacuum pipes in the same way, then there are no problems in using one :).

ok bin a bit buzy but have managed to get the original airtemp sensor out of the original afm (note that u can't use the afm anymore so use a spare one if u like to go back to original setup).

now my next question is were do u guys tab into the original wiring for the fuel pump and injector relay?

than do i have to hook up the sensor wich is in the radiator with 3 pins and the lose hanging sensor in the engine bay what is this.

if anyone has the pinout for the mi16 ecu that would be very helpfull

the best option is to build a new relay and fuse box for MS, but as we had been short on time,

we just modified the existing relays wiring so that the injection relay is switched via a switch

(or a key) at the same time as MS gets power while the fuel pump relay is switched on by MS

during cranking.

the switch in the radiator is to switch the fans on and it will work like it used to, just like it can

turn itself on and off with the ignition off. the other thing you describe is most probably a fan

resistor, that makes the fans run on half-speed instead of full-speed all the time.

as for the ECU pin-outs, try doing a search first. is it a 2-row or a 3-row ECU?
